The weather has suddenly become cooler (according the forecast, it's gonna be hot in September again. NO THANX!), and veges in my garden are almost over. I was stuck in my house these rainy 2 days, and made dried tomatos and tomato source because I planted many tomatos, and now my garden is full of tomatos. It's like tomato harvest festival.
I wanted to make sun-dried tomato, but had rain these days. Then, I baked them in the oven. I burned a few though. I'll try to make sun-dried tomato next year cuz this area is the highest sunny probability in Japan.
These are gift for my friend which are tomoto saurces, and finished dried tomatos.
I dipped half burned ones into olive oil with salt and basil.
This photo was my garden in the beginning of this month. Garden work is very interesting, but I have to battle with weed. When I weed my garden, I'll be absorbed in it, on the other hand, I'll become food for mozzie and sun.
The only thing that disappointed me about Nagano is no sea in this prefecture! I like the most of parts in Nagano except for that thing. I never get bored watching Japanese norhtern alps covered with snow in winter. Daddy grew up near a seacoast in Tottori, so always says missing the sea. Then we've decided to go to the sea in Nigata. I looked for the beach on the Internet which is not crowed, has rocky shore, is clear water, and can get withing 2hrs from here, and I found Nishikujiranami beach. There was small cove, but it was before summer holidays, so there was not many people, and we could set up our big tarp. I could see many blowfish was swimming :) They were really cutie fish!
This was the first time to let her swim in the sea, so I was little worried about her, but seemed she was really having good time. She will be a resident of Tottori, and be able to spend plenty of time to play in the sea. Good for ya.
I really really upset about trash of the beach. If there was cleaned, it would be nicer. There were sea wrack and even pile of garbage bags of leftovers :( Is it so much to ask to bring back garbage????? I cannot understand. A lot of Japanese have lack common sense. There was no such dirty beach in other countries I've been to.
Here Japan is now boiling hot!!!!! Too HOOOOOT!! Well, it's cooler image than other places like Tokyo and Osaka in Nagano, but actually it's NOT. A couple days ago, we went to a music festival which is UEDA JOINT on one of the few daddy's holidays. I could enjoy music performances as well as workshops like Didgeridoo, djembe and skateboarding session in ruin of Ueda Castle, and you can see them for FREEEEEEEE :)
